Change name of processor from i3 to i7

Are you shocked ? But, Yes, we can actually change name of processor from i3 to i7. With the help of this trick, we can show off among our friends saying that we have a i7 laptop. we can feel like a Geek, if we show this trick to our friends too. It is trouble less and easy to do in 2 minutes, if we know the steps.

So, Lets start..

To change name of processor from i3 to i7 :

1. In windows, Press Windows + R to open the RUN.
   
   
   
2. In Run, type REGEDIT.
   
3. Now, Double click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
   
4. And then HARDWARE from list.
   
5. Now, Double click DESCRIPTION>SYSTEM>CENTRAL PROCESSOR.
6. NOW click on 0.
   
7. On the right side, double click ProcessorNameString.
   
8. Now, change it to the way you like. You may change the string i3 to i7. You may even change it to i11 or i13 too ! LOL.
   
9. Press ok. Then, once check the system properties. you will be shocked again to see whats running on your machine.. i7 !!!
   

In case, you didn’t like this change to your system or you want to revert back to the old name, just give the system a restart and the changes will reset back to the default settings.
